10 Reasons why were your safest and best choice
Here are ten important features
that set Perennial apart from other kitchen companies...
1. Hands-on leadership from experienced,
qualified building professionals
Michael Simpson and Peter Schelfhout, the owners
of Perennial Kitchens, are registered building practitioners with
combined experience totalling more than forty years. Every project
is overseen by them, personally, to ensure your complete satisfaction.
Dealing with registered building practitioners
offers you a number of serious protections. It's a little-known fact
that most kitchen manufacturers are not registered building
practitioners and their contracts are often not legally enforceable...
or even legal. This leaves you exposed to a number of serious
legal and financial risks, which they try to minimise through contractual
loopholes and practices such as having you paying all sub-contractors
and trades people directly, allowing the kitchen manufacturer to wash
its hands of responsibility.
The pitch, typically, is that this will save you
money. Recognise it for what it is... a warning sign that you're
dealing with an unregistered operator, usually a cabinetmaker
who farms out everything else to sub-contractors. By breaking up the
total cost of your project in this way, they sneak in under the threshold
price set by law that would require them to be properly registered
and insured for your protection and peace of mind.
Typically, this only comes to light after
delivery of your kitchen to your home and after you've
made your final payment to the manufacturer, and the arrival of installation
sub-contractors who know nothing about your project.
Too often, this leads to costly disputes and delays
over who is responsible for missing or incorrectly-made components
and fittings, and waiting for busy trades people to turn up for urgent,
essential work, turning your home into a wasteland and your dream
kitchen into a nightmare.
And you're left holding all responsibility
and liability.
With Perennial Kitchens, your final payment
including all aspects of the project is not made until
handover of your completed kitchen.
2. Award-winning design and high-tech,
precision manufacture
Your kitchen will be visualised by our award-winning
creative team at The Kitchen Design Centre. This unique kitchen design
"hot shop" is personally directed by John Crooks, one of
Australia's most award-honoured kitchen designers. Our designers
who are also qualified interior design professionals use state-of-the-art
design software to achieve two valuable benefits for you...
First, it allows you to see your new kitchen
in 3D view: you can "walk through" every aspect to see for
yourself that everything's exactly as you want it.
Second, it integrates seamlessly with our
state-of-the-art production complex, where computer-controlled manufacturing
plant and equipment combine with our finely-tuned production systems
to ensure manufacturing precision and minute attention to every technical
and creative detail. Every stage is closely supervised by our factory-trained
team of skilled and experienced tradespeople.
3. No compromises on quality or performance.
We use only High Moisture Resistance (HMR)
construction materials that we screw (not nail) together for optimum
strength and durability. All cabinets have solid backs and fully adjustable
shelves wherever possible. In other words, we build them to last.

Your kitchen will also feature only the highest-quality
fittings available, from industry leaders such as Blum, Hafele and
Hettich.
4. The ability to deliver on our
commitments.
We don't make promises. We make commitments.
And we deliver through an unbeatable fusion of vision, flair, talent,
professionalism and skill with the latest technology and practical
experience needed to actually deliver your dream kitchen, on time
and on budget.
It also means that we can create any style
or size of kitchen you need.
5. The latest technology for better
results.
We invest sensibly in new technology. For
example, we have our own computer-controlled edge-banding machine
for applying the 2mm ABS edges to all of your doors and panels.
6. Buying power for specialist products
and services.
There are times when specialist products and
services are needed to bring your dream kitchen to unique reality.
We have the professional and trade contacts
to do this and the buying power to ensure your project receives
proper priority, quality and prices from these specialists.
7. Administrative and Service Support
If you need information or help related to
your project, we have excellent administrative and service support.
If the person you normally deal with is unavailable, there's usually
someone else who can help you.
8. Your project is still in our care
after it leaves our factory.
Too often, kitchen companies shift responsibility
for your project to sub-contractors to deliver and install your kitchen.
We don't.
We have our own vehicle and delivery staff
to ensure that your kitchen components are delivered together, to
the right place, in proper order and condition.
9. Our own factory-trained team for
timely, professional installation.
We don't fob off installation to sub-contractors
who know nothing about your project. Your kitchen is installed by
our own factory-trained staff, to our strict professional standards.
This also allows us to guarantee installation
times.
We also clean up properly after we finish
installation, so your new kitchen is immaculate and ready to use.
10. Qualified, reliable trades people
for your peace of mind.
We have a full complement of contracting trades
to ensure that these aspects of your kitchen installation are carried
out on time and to proper health and safety standards for the protection
of you and your family. They include plumbers, electricians, plasterers,
tilers, registered builders, stonemasons and painters.
